Biography
Eyes of the Oak is a doom-laden force from the forests of Sörmland, Sweden. Blending crushing riffs with a hypnotic, psychedelic haze, the band has carved out a place in the Scandinavian underground with two full-length albums, a standalone single, and an EP — all within the span of just three years. With a new EP set for release in September 2025, Eyes of the Oak continues to evolve with purpose and weight.
Their debut The Stone Vortex (2023) introduced a dense, meditative sound steeped in heavy atmosphere and occult imagery. In 2024, they returned with Neolithic Flint Dagger, a darker and more melodic offering that pushed their sonic boundaries even further. The band also gained attention for their EP Curse of the Mummy (2025), released on 12″ vinyl with a fully biodegradable hemp sleeve — one of the first of its kind.
Eyes of the Oak has built a reputation as a powerful live act, recently performing at Västerås Doomfest and making their Oslo debut in early 2025. With more shows on the horizon and a new EP due this fall, the band shows no signs of slowing down.
